Needle Raises $2.2M for AI Search Platform

Berlin and SF-based startup Needle secures $2.2M in seed funding to expand its AI-powered search and agent development platform that connects disparate data sources for easier enterprise access.
How it works: Needle's platform allows companies to implement AI solutions without significant upfront investment by creating a unified search layer across internal systems.
Users connect existing tools like Confluence, Slack, Gmail and Dropbox to the platform, which indexes data to make it instantly searchable.
The technology uses agentic retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) to deliver direct answers and reliable information through a web interface or API.

The $2.2M seed round was led by 468 Capital and Presight Capital.
Founders: Onur Eken (CTO) and Jan Heimes (CEO)
Pricing: Needle offers Free and Paid plans starting at $49 per month.
